Confit Garlic

Versitatile, simple and delicious!

Spice up your cooking or salad olive oil. A fresh sourdough bread dip with balsamic vinegar to start of your dinner party; or even use it for your eggs in the morning!


Ingredients:

1-2 garlic bulbs, cloves peeled (I love to buy the pre peeled garlic packs from the grocery store to save time)

500ml of olive oil

Fresh herbs- rosemary and thyme are my favourites


Method:

  1. Place garlic and herbs into a small oven safe dish

    *TIP: I use a glass pyrex container so I won’t have to transfer after the cooking process!

  2. Pour in your oil so all the contents are covered as a minimum amount

  3. Place into the oven at 90 degrees celsius for 2 hours

  4. Allow to cool completely before putting on a cover. Store in the refrigerator
